About Me
My goal is to connect with my students to create “Aha!” moments of understanding.
I have worked as a tutor for more than six years, both as a peer tutor through academic institutions and independently. I have dedicated myself to the fields of education and developmental psychology, working as a student teacher in an integrated 3rd-grade classroom and now as a post-baccalaureate fellow in clinical psychology for children and adolescents.
My own K-12 educational path was an alternative one. I was a member of a progressive homeschooling group as a child, moved to a small independent elementary and middle school, briefly attended public high school and then transitioned to the early college program at SUNY Ulster.
In May of 2024, I graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a majors in both Psychology and Religious Studies, and minors in both Education and English.
My educational background gives me a unique perspective that allows me to work with each of my students as individuals, guiding them to the productive and organized techniques that meld best with their learning styles.
